Breakthrough and Singularity
Two ways to start over, each one making the next run faster than the last.
AI Breakthrough
From 1 trillion (1e12) compute power earned in total, you can trigger an AI Breakthrough. You lose your machines, your upgrades and your CP, and earn Insights: the square root of your lifetime CP divided by one trillion. Each Insight adds 2% to all production, forever.
A good moment to reset: when the next Breakthrough at least doubles your Insights, or when progress slows down to a crawl.
Insight upgrades
Insights can also be spent on permanent upgrades, kept across every reset:
- Head Start (5): Keep a free Laptop after every reset, and double your tap power.
- Extended Offline (10): Offline earnings are credited for up to 36 hours instead of 24.
- Offline Efficiency (15): Offline earnings rise from 50% to 75% of your production.
- Click Memory (20): Permanent x3 click power across resets.
- Generator Memory (50): Keep your first three machines after every reset, and double all production.
Singularity
Once a cycle reaches 1e22 compute power, the Singularity opens. It takes your Insights and forges Cores: the fourth root of the cycle total divided by 1e20. Each Core adds 25% production and 10% more Insights at every Breakthrough, and Cores never go away.
The first runs after a Singularity feel slower, then the Core bonus takes over: a new cycle overtakes the previous one long before it reaches the same total. Your lifetime total and your leaderboard rank do not move.
