1. Introduction

Click Empire ("the Game", "we", "us", "our") is an idle game available on mobile and at clickempire.dev. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

2. What we collect

Account, only if you create one

Email address

Display name

Hashed password - we never store it in clear text

Game data

Your progress: compute power, machines, upgrades, prestige

Achievements

Clan membership and leaderboard scores

Technical data

Device type and operating system

App version

IP address, for security and rate limiting

3. What we do with it

We use this data to:

Run the Game

Save your progress and sync it between your devices

Run the social features: clans and leaderboards

Send you email verification and password reset messages

Protect the Game against fraud and abuse

4. Storage and security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, sessions rely on short-lived tokens, and every exchange with our servers goes over HTTPS.

Your progress is kept on your device and, if you have an account, on our servers so it can follow you from one device to another.

5. Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. It is only visible in these cases:

Your display name and score appear on the leaderboards

Your clan sees your contribution

When the law requires it

6. Third parties

The Game relies on:

Purelymail, for verification and password reset emails

Google AdMob, for the ads shown in the mobile app. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, Google asks for your consent first; on iPhone, Apple asks whether you allow tracking

Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play), which process in-app purchases. We never see your payment details

Game Center (Apple) and Play Games (Google), if you use them for leaderboards and achievements

Umami, a cookie-free audience measurement tool that we host ourselves, on the website only

Each of them has its own privacy policy.

Notifications and sharing

Reminders are scheduled on your device only if you accept them, and nothing about them is sent to us. The image you share of your empire is created on your device and sent only where you choose.

7. Children

The Game is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you are a parent and believe your child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

You may at any time:

Ask what personal data we hold about you

Ask for it to be corrected

Delete your account from the settings screen, which erases your data

Play without an account, entirely offline

9. Retention

We keep your data as long as your account exists. Once deleted, it is removed within 30 days.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a fresh date.
